Work Environment\n

This position offers a flexible remote work setting, enhancing your ability to maintain a healthy work-life balance while fulfilling professional responsibilities. Generally, the work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some variability based on patient needs, allowing for a tailored approach to therapy. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and trauma-informed mental health assessments that help identify patients' unique trauma experiences and inform subsequent treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address trauma symptoms effectively.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in their processing of trauma, helping them develop coping skills, and promoting healing through shared experiences.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and fellow professionals to offer integrated and comprehensive care tailored to patient needs.

• Provide crisis intervention services to support patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective response.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources, thereby enhancing support for each patient’s journey.

• Maintain rigorous, up-to-date documentation of patient interactions and treatment processes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions focused on trauma-informed care practices and therapeutic advancements.

• Continually update your knowledge on the latest research and best practices within trauma therapy, enhancing both personal skills and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily serves individuals dealing with trauma-related conditions, including but not limited to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, making it essential for our therapists to have a culturally sensitive and individualized approach to care. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW to practice in Texas.

• Proven commitment to trauma-informed care, with a strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and resilience-building techniques.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, paired with a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in standard computer applications.

• The ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment while demonstrating a strong capacity for independent work.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on trauma-related interventions and therapies.
