Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, but it also involves collaboration with your colleagues in our outpatient office setting as necessary. You will be part of a dynamic team that emphasizes trauma-informed principles, provides a safe space for healing, and is wholly invested in the mental health profession. The work schedule operates Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although some flexibility may be required depending on patient needs and appointments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' backgrounds and develop an appropriate treatment plan.

• Create and implement individualized therapeutic plans focused on trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote overall healing.

• Engage in regular collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support to clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies or acute distress.

• Educate clients and their families about the impacts of trauma, available coping mechanisms, and resources to support their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems proficiently.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance the delivery of trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma treatment to continually enhance your practice and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will predominantly involve clients who are survivors of trauma, including situations that might have led to PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will play a critical role in supporting these individuals as they navigate their healing processes, fostering a therapeutic rapport that empowers them and builds trust in the counseling relationship.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly with a focus on trauma recovery.

• In-depth understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to deliver trauma-focused interventions with sensitivity and professionalism.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and a supportive, non-judgmental approach to patient care.

• Strong capacity to maintain composure in high-stress situations and exhibit resilience in therapeutic settings.

• Proficient in EHR systems and other relevant computer applications.

• Capability of working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Experience\n

We would prefer candidates who have significant experience in trauma-focused therapies and interventions. Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
