Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health, identifying key issues that may include anxiety, depression, substance abuse, or eating disorders.

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices that cater to each client’s unique needs.

• Provide regular therapy sessions, utilizing both individual and group therapy techniques, ensuring culturally responsive approaches are employed.

• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, while employing crisis intervention strategies when faced with high-risk situations.

• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, referring clients to additional services such as psychiatric care when appropriate.

• Document all client interactions and treatment plans within our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality is maintained.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Counseling Center serves a diverse client base in Fresno, California, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds and with a wide array of mental health challenges. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will engage with clients ranging from adolescents facing academic pressures to adults dealing with complex psychological conditions. Your role will focus on providing tailored therapeutic support, helping clients overcome their obstacles and achieve improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current license as LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling.
\n
• A comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and the ability to apply culturally sensitive practices in therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
