Work Environment

This full-time position requires onsite presence in our outpatient office located in Port Charlotte, Florida. Expect to work around 40 hours per week with variable weekends as necessary. The environment is fast-paced and requires a proactive approach to managing numerous patients simultaneously, while also allowing for continual professional development and opportunities to engage in leadership activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities and limitations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address specific functional deficits while aligning with recognized protocols and best practices.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate a patient's continuum of care, offering insights and recommendations based on evaluation findings.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and discharge plans in compliance with all relevant regulations and professional standards.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote healthy lifestyles and physical activity.
• Supervise support staff such as Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and students, ensuring they deliver quality care aligned with organizational standards.
• Engage in continuous learning through in-services, workshops, and professional development to improve personal competence and contribute to team effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves a diverse patient population including children, adults, and seniors who are dealing with orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, sports injuries, and post-surgical rehabilitation needs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid State License in Physical Therapy.

Preferred Experience
