Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite at our hospital facility, which is designed to foster a collaborative and supportive environment for both staff and patients. Operating hours are primarily weekdays, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though occasional flexibility may be required based on patient needs and clinic operations. Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing tailored treatment plans that focus on improving patient mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
• Conduct therapeutic exercises and guide patients through stretches and activities while monitoring their progress and providing real-time feedback.
• Administer various modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and hot/cold therapies, adhering to treatment protocols outlined by supervising therapists.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics and techniques to promote their recovery, providing home exercise programs that support long-term health.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting changes in range of motion, strength, and overall functional capabilities to inform ongoing treatment strategies.
• Maintain treatment areas and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are prepared and readily accessible for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Foster a positive environment through emotional support and encouragement, helping patients navigate the often-challenging rehabilitation process.
• Uphold ethical standards of practice by maintaining patient confidentiality and respecting all patients' rights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The PTA will engage with a diverse patient population that includes individuals recovering from surgeries, athletes gearing up for a return to sports, children with developmental needs, and elderly patients managing chronic conditions. Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program, with a foundation in anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic modalities.
• Current state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Compensation and Benefits
