You will be working in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Centreville, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatment for patients suffering from orthopedic conditions, with a strong emphasis on restoring function, reducing pain, and enhancing mobility.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and challenges by utilizing diagnostic tests to inform your treatment strategy.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that align with prescribed medical protocols and the specific needs of each patient.
• Oversee and guide the implementation of treatment plans carried out by Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring interpretative accuracy and adherence to therapy goals.
• Administer various therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, modalities like traction and electrotherapy, and therapeutic exercises tailored to each patient's recovery pathway.
• Evaluate and adjust orthotic and prosthetic devices as needed, making recommendations for changes to the treatment plan when required.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in case conferences and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to regularly assess and adjust treatment strategies that align with patient recovery objectives.
• Educate patients and their families regarding the therapeutic process, including home exercises, care for therapeutic devices, and lifestyle modifications to enhance recovery.
• Maintain timely communication with physicians and other healthcare team members regarding changes in patients' conditions and the effectiveness of treatments.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will primarily work with patients experiencing conditions related to orthopedic issues, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, arthritis, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Your role will involve not only treating acute conditions but also guiding individuals in chronic pain management and preventative care strategies.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A current and valid Physical Therapist license in Virginia or eligibility to obtain one.
• A minimum of one year of relevant experience in physical therapy, preferably in an orthopedic or rehabilitation setting.
• Current CPR certification and the ability to maintain a valid driver's license with appropriate insurance.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical excellence, quality care, and continuous professional development.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in utilizing evidence-based approaches for the treatment of orthopedic conditions.
• Familiarity with rehabilitation technologies and methodologies that enhance patient recovery.

Compensation and Benefits

Joint Journey Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
