Active Relief Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to enhance our outpatient clinic located in the vibrant community of Newark, New Jersey. Work Environment

You will work in a fully equipped rehabilitation center that boasts advanced therapeutic equipment and technologies. Our clinic operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing a structured yet dynamic work environment that encourages professional development and daily collaboration with a diverse team of healthcare specialists.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized physical therapy services to assist patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals, including pain reduction, increased mobility, and restoration of function.
• Manage and prioritize a caseload of patients, ensuring quality time for assessment and treatment.
• Utilize your extensive knowledge of orthopedic care to design and apply effective treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Implement cost-effective and evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve functional capabilities.
• Advocate for non-surgical management options and empower patients to minimize medication reliance through lifestyle adjustments.
• Formulate detailed care plans incorporating various treatment modalities such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities specific to orthopedic injury recovery.
• Regularly motivate and support patients in reaching their therapy milestones, bolstering their confidence and resilience.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient progress through continuous evaluation and adjust treatment strategies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Maintain thorough and precise documentation using EMR software, particularly WebPT, to support efficient patient management and billing processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily focuses on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain issues. You will engage with a diverse patient demographic, ranging from athletes seeking to return to their sport to elderly patients aiming to regain independence in daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active Physical Therapist license issued by the state of New Jersey, with no history of disciplinary actions.
• Proficient in employing various manual therapy techniques and exercise programs suited for diverse patient needs.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings, demonstrating exceptional clinical reasoning and assessment skills.
• Strong familiarity with EMR systems, especially WebPT, for maintaining accurate patient records and enhancing operational efficiency.
• Current knowledge of the latest physical therapy practices and research to provide the most effective treatment interventions.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a high-volume orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Advanced certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques can enhance candidacy.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient management solutions.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and expertise.
