Work Environment

This position is predominantly onsite, concentrated in the homes of our patients throughout the Los Angeles area. This unique setting allows you to develop a strong rapport with patients in a comfortable environment, making therapy more effective and personal. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, engaging with doctors, occupational therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate comprehensive care plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to identify their specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance mobility and function.
• Maintain a balanced patient load, managing one patient per hour to ensure attentive and personalized treatment.
• Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, including exercises, modalities utilized, and home care strategies.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques to improve patient outcomes and minimize pain.
• Monitor patient progress through routine assessments and document treatment outcomes accurately in electronic medical records systems like WebPT.
• Encourage patients to remain engaged and motivated throughout their recovery process, helping them set achievable milestones.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, sharing insights and progress reports to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Stay current with the latest rehabilitation techniques and approaches through ongoing training and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Arcadia Therapeutic Services, you will primarily work with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. Our clients range from post-operative patients to individuals facing mobility challenges due to aging or injury. This diverse patient population requires patience, empathy, and tailored therapeutic interventions to support recovery and regain independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in California without any disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and developing effective exercise routines for rehabilitation.
• Strong communication skills to foster effective patient relationships and convey complex medical information clearly.
• Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, allowing for efficient documentation and participation in patient care coordination.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, with specific expertise in orthopedic outpatient or home health care settings.
• Proven track record of managing a diverse caseload effectively while maintaining high patient satisfaction and outcome measures.
• Prior involvement in community outreach or patient education programs, enhancing patient engagement and awareness of therapeutic options.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is USD 100,000 to 125,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
