The Sierra Orthopedic Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Sayreville, New Jersey. As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will work closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing physical function, reducing pain, and preventing further injuries.

Our state-of-the-art facility operates from a spacious 5,000 square foot sports medicine area equipped with the latest technology and rehabilitation tools. We provide specialized care primarily to patients with private medical insurance and prioritize a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and exceptional patient outcomes.

Work Environment

This position is onsite, providing a hands-on approach to patient care. Our team consists of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) who work together in a supportive atmosphere to ensure that each patient receives individualized attention and high-quality care. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' goals, movement limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring focused and personalized attention during each session.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic interventions aimed at improving range of motion, strength, and overall functional capacity.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide non-surgical options, reducing reliance on medications whenever possible.
• Create tailored fitness and wellness plans that promote healthy lifestyles, including customized exercise regimens to enhance patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Monitor treatment outcomes and progress through systematic evaluations, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient recovery.
• Document all patient care procedures accurately and maintain detailed patient records in compliance with clinic policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to design comprehensive patient care strategies, facilitating a continuum of care.
• Motivate and educate patients and their families about self-management and preventive strategies to foster long-term health and rehabilitation success.

Our clinic serves a diverse population of patients, primarily focusing on those requiring orthopedic rehabilitation due to injuries or surgeries. Patients typically include athletes needing recovery from sports-related injuries, individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, and those with chronic pain conditions affecting their mobility. Our clinical approach centers around fostering a supportive and encouraging environment to help patients navigate their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid and active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated competence in manual therapy techniques and the ability to design effective exercise protocols tailored to individual patients.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT software, is advantageous for efficient documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable to facilitate a seamless transition into our team.
• Expertise in sports rehabilitation and injury prevention programs is a plus, reflecting our clinic's focus on sports medicine.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, their families, and fellow healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
