Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to gain insights into patients' histories and develop tailored treatment approaches.

• Create individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and coping strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to explore their trauma and learn adaptive coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring an integrated and comprehensive care plan for each patient.

• Respond effectively to crisis situations and provide immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, resilience-building techniques, and community resources for further support.

• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans meticulously in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations and staff meetings to discuss treatment strategies and contribute to team development.

• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily revolve around serving individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including those dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be instrumental in creating a therapeutic environment that promotes healing and allows clients to reclaim their narratives, paving the way for improved mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State is mandatory for this position.

• Solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage with clients compassionately and effectively.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications to manage patient information effectively.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, particularly in trauma-focused therapies and interventions, is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
