Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, utilizing telehealth technology to engage with clients. You will work a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility depending on client needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Therapist, your key duties will include:

• Conducting thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate the psychological needs of patients and inform treatment planning.

• Creating and implementing tailored therapeutic interventions aimed at trauma recovery, utilizing evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions to assist patients in processing their trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and promoting overall well-being.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals for integrated care, ensuring that each patient receives comprehensive support during their recovery journey.

• Providing crisis intervention as needed during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and immediate support.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, healthy coping mechanisms, and available resources for additional support.

• Documenting patient progress and treatment outcomes in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines to maintain compliance and confidentiality.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates should have:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

Preferred Experience\n
