Blue Horizon Psychotherapy Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. This full-time position is entirely remote and allows you to make a significant difference in the lives of clients dealing with mood disorders, including conditions like depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. The ideal candidate will possess a licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT and have a passion for delivering comprehensive mental health care inline with best practices.

Work Environment

As a remote-based Mental Health Therapist, you will utilize telehealth technology to conduct therapy sessions from the comfort of your home. This flexibility enhances work-life balance while allowing you to connect with clients across various locations. Our practice operates on a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the potential for occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotating basis to accommodate client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to fully evaluate the severity and nature of mood disorder symptoms present in clients, facilitating accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Work collaboratively with clients to design individualized treatment strategies that align with their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to deliver high-quality care that addresses mood disorders.
• Provide ongoing education and support to clients and their families regarding the nature of mood disorders, including effective treatment options and self-care practices.
• Continuously monitor and document clients' progress in treatment, making necessary adaptations to plans as required for optimal outcomes.
• Engage in teamwork with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client care, sharing valuable insights that enhance treatment plans.
• Stay informed of the latest research developments in mood disorders to continually refine and improve therapeutic practices and treatment methodologies.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment outcomes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in ongoing case consultations and professional development to enhance personal and team competencies in treating mood disorders effectively.
• Act as an advocate for clients, working towards reducing the stigma surrounding mental health challenges while promoting their rights and access to necessary resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with mood disorders, serving a diverse demographic in Atlanta and beyond. You will provide therapy to clients from various backgrounds, ages, and life experiences, creating a safe and inclusive environment where they can freely express their challenges and work towards wellness.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Georgia.
• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology to effectively collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish strong rapport with clients and their families, empowering them throughout their treatment journeys.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, particularly specializing in the treatment of mood disorders.
• Proven proficiency in utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT and DBT.
• A solid track record of achieving favorable clinical outcomes with clients suffering from mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 - 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus potential performance-based bonuses.
