Work Environment

Located in sunny Fort Myers, Florida, our outpatient office provides a welcoming workspace for both staff and patients. Our clinic is designed to facilitate a steady flow of patient treatments in a comfortable setting. As a full-time Physical Therapist, you will work Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent schedule while maintaining a strong work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess each patient's individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans aimed at restoring mobility and functionality.
• Maintain a patient load that accommodates one individual per hour, ensuring you can devote adequate time for assessments and therapy.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and administer cost-effective therapies to enhance patient mobility and prevent further injury.
• Track patient progress, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust therapy interventions as needed based on patient feedback and outcomes.
• Document all services provided accurately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, particularly through systems such as WebPT.
• Engage with patients to promote their commitment to rehabilitation, providing motivation and education to enhance their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure cohesive patient care.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modifications and wellness programs designed to support their rehabilitation and prevent future injuries.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work predominantly with orthopedic patients who are recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions requiring therapeutic intervention. The focus is on creating an individualized rehabilitation experience, considering the unique needs and goals of each patient. Your empathetic approach will play a vital role in empowering clients to regain their strength, flexibility, and overall functionality.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, though a Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid state license as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• No record of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of various therapeutic modalities.
• Capable of designing and implementing structured exercise programs that align with patient needs and industry standards.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, for clinical documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an outpatient setting, particularly with orthopedic cases, is highly desirable.
• A demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with patients and their families, providing clarity on treatment plans and expected outcomes.
• Experience designing custom fitness and wellness programs that align with best practices in physical therapy.
