Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to understand clients' backgrounds, challenges, and treatment needs, establishing a trusting relationship from the outset.

• Create and implement personalized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each client, addressing a variety of concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal relationships.

• Facilitate both one-on-one therapy and group sessions, utilizing various therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to empower clients.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure all medical and psychological needs are systematically addressed.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuous education and training, keeping abreast of industry best practices and emerging therapeutic techniques.

• Contribute creatively to service delivery processes and program innovations that enhance operation efficiency and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clientele at Elysian Fields Counseling Center is diverse, reflecting various backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences. We work with individuals facing emotional challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, trauma-related issues, and relationship difficulties. Our therapeutic approach is tailored to each individual, with the aim of fostering resilience and promoting mental health wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in New York State as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience working with individuals who present various emotional and psychological complexities.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling the ability to connect with clients and cultivate trust effectively.

• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus but not mandatory.
