Family First Physical Therapy is actively seeking a full-time Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) who is committed to helping patients regain their mobility and improve their quality of life. Located in New City, New York, our practice offers a dynamic work environment where patient care is at the forefront of all we do. Our dedicated team includes two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all working together within our state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot sports medicine facility. We are a PT-owned practice that primarily serves patients with private insurance, ensuring personalized and comprehensive care tailored to each individual's needs.

Work Environment

This position will be based onsite at our rehabilitation facility in New City. Our workspace is designed to enhance the healing process, equipped with cutting-edge therapeutic equipment and resources that allow our therapists to provide the highest level of care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patients' needs and establish clear rehabilitation goals.
• Manage a structured caseload, typically seeing one patient per hour to ensure quality and focused care.
• Utilize evidence-based treatment techniques and develop personalized exercise protocols to optimize recovery.
• Educate patients on pain management strategies that reduce reliance on medications, fostering a better understanding of their conditions and treatment options.
• Create comprehensive care plans that integrate various therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises.
• Design and implement tailored fitness programs that promote strength, flexibility, and overall wellness.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide motivation and support throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions and progress within our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, primarily using WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care.
• Conduct regular evaluations to assess treatment effectiveness and modify interventions based on patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and those with chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our practice is dedicated to delivering individualized care to enhance recovery, restore mobility, and improve the overall quality of life for every patient.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Active physical therapy license in the State of New York.
• Proven track record with no disciplinary actions against your professional license.
• Strong skills in manual therapy and proficiency in developing exercise protocols tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience working with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, to enhance patient care documentation.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is required, we prefer candidates who possess advanced skills in managing diverse patient populations and complex treatment regimens. Experience in sports medicine and a strong commitment to continuing education and professional development will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
