Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center in San Francisco, California. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art outpatient facility, focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation and wellness. As a physical therapist, you will be pivotal in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey, addressing their individual needs, and encouraging them to regain their mobility and independence.

TheraSense Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is a physical therapy practice co-owned by experienced therapists. Our facility spans an impressive 5,000 square feet and is equipped with advanced sports medicine technology. Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our outpatient office in the heart of San Francisco. You will be part of a tight-knit team that includes two skilled physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant, all dedicated to ensuring our patients receive the highest level of care. The clinic is designed to foster collaboration and communication among team members, promoting a positive workplace culture that enhances job satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify individual patient goals, needs, and therapeutic requirements.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, seeing one patient per hour to ensure focused and quality intervention.
• Develop and implement extensive physical therapy treatment plans based on evidence-based approaches that address patients' mobility and functional challenges.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and exercise-based protocols, to align with patients' rehabilitation goals.
• Provide education on alternatives to pain management, including exercises that improve range of motion and mobility while reducing reliance on medications.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their treatment, fostering a collaborative therapeutic environment.
• Engage in thorough documentation of services rendered, patient progress, and outcome evaluations using EMR software, ideally WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, ensuring integrated care approaches that enhance treatment effectiveness and patient satisfaction.
• Continuously monitor treatment outcomes and communicate progress transparently with patients and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic primarily consists of individuals undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, including postoperative recovery, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain issues. Our commitment to personalized care means that each treatment plan is tailored specifically to the unique needs of the patient, allowing for effective recovery and long-term wellness.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid California license to practice as a Physical Therapist without any disciplinary actions on record.
• Strong manual therapy skills and competency in developing individualized exercise protocols.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, with a preference for experience using WebPT.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings and familiarity with sports medicine approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging patient education discussions and wellness programs.
• Continuing education in advanced physical therapy techniques and modalities.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
