Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing flexibility to accommodate both personal and professional needs. Our outpatient facility operates with a supportive framework that enables mental health professionals to collaborate effectively, regardless of their working arrangement. The typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet the diverse needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to identify each patient's unique experiences, strengths, and areas of growth.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions that respect the cultural and personal backgrounds of patients.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions that address various mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more, all while promoting clients' resilience and emotional well-being.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs.

• Provide crisis intervention when necessary, maintaining a calm demeanor and utilizing effective strategies to support individuals in distress.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their healing journeys.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that adheres to both legal and ethical standards, ensuring the utmost care in patient privacy and records management.

• Engage actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training to enhance service delivery and personal growth.

• Stay current with the latest research and evidence-based practices in mental health therapy, contributing to continuous improvement in the organization's methodologies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Virginia.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches, with an emphasis on cultural competencies.

• Experience providing individual and group therapy utilizing culturally responsive methodologies.

• Exceptional crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain composed during challenging therapeutic situations.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing rapport with a diverse clientele.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in basic computer applications.

• Commitment to ethical boundaries, guidelines, and confidentiality in all aspects of practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n
