Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms on clients’ daily lives.

• Collaborating with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their specific mental health goals.

• Implementing various evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the unique needs of your clients.

• Providing educational resources and support to clients and their families regarding treatment options, coping strategies, and the physiological aspects of mood disorders.

• Monitoring clients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Working in partnership with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that promotes the best interests of our clients.

• Keeping abreast of the latest research developments in mood disorder treatment to enhance your therapeutic practices.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with legal standards.

• Participating in team meetings and case consultations to strengthen your professional skills and share insights with colleagues.

• Actively advocating for clients' mental health needs and working to destigmatize conditions related to mood disorders within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• A master’s degree in Social Work or Marriage Family Therapy.

• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in mental health counseling, specifically addressing mood disorders.

• Strong understanding of relevant California laws and professional ethics pertaining to mental health practices.
\n
• Successful completion of a current background check through the FBI and DOJ.
\n
• A recent TB test (within the last six months) is required.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience working with clients with learning disabilities, behavioral issues, and various social/emotional disorders will be considered beneficial. Familiarity with addiction treatment and recovery processes will also enhance your suitability for this role.

Heartlight Counseling Center offers a competitive salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
