We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Orthopedic Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our dynamic team at Allied Primary Health Center in Hempstead, New York. This role involves providing comprehensive care to orthopedic patients under the supervision of a specialty physician, with a salary range of $140,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Work Environment

The role of the Physician Assistant will be based onsite within our hospital facility, where teamwork and collaboration are paramount. The work schedule consists of Monday to Friday, with full-time commitment required. Key Responsibilities

The Physician Assistant will engage in a variety of critical tasks that include:

• Providing advanced practitioner care for orthopedic patients, encompassing diagnostic, therapeutic, procedural, and preventative care.
• Conducting thorough patient examinations, diagnosing conditions, and determining appropriate treatment plans while interpreting radiology reports and lab results.
• Documenting patient histories, writing prescriptions, ordering therapies, and assisting in surgical procedures as required.
• Managing patient care across the spectrum of the orthopedic experience, including inpatient services, consultations, pre-procedural and procedural care, as well as post-procedure follow-up in both hospital and outpatient clinic settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus predominantly on orthopedic patients, providing holistic care in a supportive environment. You will engage with a diverse patient demographic, including those requiring immediate attention for musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain management, and post-surgical recovery. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
• A relevant Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• State-issued Physician Assistant license.
• National certification as a Physician Assistant.
• DEA Certificate obtainable within three months of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients and healthcare team members.
• Strong self-direction and organizational skills, enabling you to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum qualifications are essential, candidates with the following experience will stand out:

• Hands-on experience with orthopedic procedures and surgical assistance.
• Recent experience in wound care management.
• Experience managing urgent referrals and collaborating seamlessly with community healthcare providers.
