Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at PT Plus, you will work onsite in our outpatient office, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. The environment is supportive and fosters open communication, which is essential for providing the highest level of care. Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for new and returning patients, adhering to the highest standards of practice and state regulations.
• Assess patient mobility, strength, and functional abilities to establish realistic and measurable rehabilitation goals tailored to individual patient needs.
• Create and implement effective treatment plans that encompass an array of therapeutic modalities, including exercises, manual therapy techniques, and patient education.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, using evidence-based practices to adapt treatment plans as necessary for optimal recovery outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records consistent with facility policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Engage actively in professional development by attending workshops and staying updated with current literature in physical therapy.
• Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure an efficient workplace that maintains safety and cleanliness while providing the best care possible.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, trauma, and chronic conditions affecting movement. Our diverse clientele includes individuals of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, each requiring unique approaches and considerations in their rehabilitation journey. Your compassionate and motivating demeanor will play a crucial role in inspiring them to reach their recovery goals.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active physical therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED training.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing physical therapy in an outpatient setting, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a genuine sense of empathy, and the ability to inspire and motivate patients through their recovery.

Preferred Experience

Experience in manual therapy techniques, knowledge of therapeutic exercise prescriptions, and familiarity with various rehabilitative equipment are highly regarded. Additional certifications in specialty areas (such as sports physical therapy or vestibular rehabilitation) will be considered an advantage in enhancing our service offerings.
