Work Environment

Our practice is located in beautiful Virginia Beach, a vibrant community that offers a perfect blend of work and leisure. As an onsite rehabilitation facility, we foster collaboration among our staff, which consists of two skilled physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA). You will work in an inclusive, supportive setting where continuous learning and professional growth are emphasized. The work hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify and understand each patient's unique goals and rehabilitation needs.
• Manage a focused caseload, aimed at providing one-on-one therapy sessions to each patient hour.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions, including manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions tailored to individual patients.
• Implement comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate a variety of modalities to enhance mobility and functional performance.
• Work proactively to reduce patients' reliance on medications and explore non-surgical treatment options to foster long-term recovery.
• Design and facilitate customized wellness programs that support each patient's overall health and lifestyle objectives.
• Monitor patient progress closely, making necessary adjustments to care plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Document patient care activities diligently, ensuring accurate and timely medical records are maintained.
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist, with a clean professional record free from disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrable expertise in orthopedic manual therapy and strength training.
• Strong skills in developing and executing custom exercise programs based on patients' needs.
• Familiarity with WebPT or similar electronic medical record (EMR) software.
• A collaborative spirit with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits
