Position Overview

Pinnacle Flex Wellness Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This full-time role requires an individual who is committed to improving patient health and mobility through effective therapy interventions within a home care setting. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience and a demonstrated history of providing exceptional care to patients recovering from orthopedic conditions.

Work Environment

The position is based onsite, primarily within clients' homes in Virginia Beach and surrounding areas. Operating in a home care environment means each day is unique; you will travel to various locations while interacting directly with patients and their families. Key Responsibilities

• Administer direct physical therapy interventions designed to prevent disabilities, alleviate pain, and optimize muscle function, strictly adhering to prescribed care and treatment plans.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants to ensure accurate implementation of therapy activities and adherence to care protocols.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of client functional levels through diagnostic tests, ensuring a holistic assessment of muscle, nerve, joint, and overall functional abilities.
• Assess the home environment, providing recommendations that help enhance client independence throughout their rehabilitation process.
• Deliver high-quality physical therapy services directly at the client's home as per physician prescriptions, ensuring a comfortable therapeutic experience.
• Administer diverse therapeutic modalities, including manual therapeutic exercises and advanced treatments utilizing physical agents.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices in collaboration with medical professionals to support rehabilitation goals.
• Participate in developing, reviewing, and updating comprehensive care plans tailored to client needs.
• Document clinical records meticulously, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team case conferences, playing a vital role in holistic treatment planning and evaluation.
• Provide education and consult with clients and their families on therapy programs and device usage to ensure understanding and compliance.
• Conduct functional assessments on-site, reviewing and adjusting care plans while regularly evaluating community resource utilization according to client needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve primarily comprise individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and conditions, including joint replacements, fractures, and musculoskeletal disorders. Our client demographic varies widely, ensuring that you will gain experience across a spectrum of cases, each requiring unique approaches tailored to individual needs. Serving our clients in the comfort of their homes also fosters a deeper connection and understanding of their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is required.
• A minimum of one year of experience in physical therapy practice, particularly in home care or acute care settings.
• Current, valid PT licensure in the state of Virginia.
• CPR certification that is up to date.
• A valid driver's license and non-expired automobile insurance.
• Strong commitment to delivering clinical excellence and maintaining integrity in professional practice.
• Exemplary interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective client and family engagement.
• Ability to collaboratively work within a team framework aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.
• Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to take accountability for clinical actions.
• Proficiency in federal and state regulatory compliance and guidelines governing home health practices.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year of experience is mandatory, candidates with experience specifically in orthopedics or innovative therapeutic practices will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and experience in home healthcare settings are additional assets that will enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits

Our clinic offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. As a full-time employee, you will also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes healthcare, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a Flexible Spending Account and a Dependent Care Account.
