Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose patients' physical conditions to develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Administer therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities aimed at improving motion, strength, and functionality.
• Maintain a manageable patient caseload by efficiently scheduling appointments and providing individualized attention during therapy sessions.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to implement treatment strategies, ensuring that all methods align with the latest research and best practices within the field of physical therapy.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop a comprehensive approach towards patient care.
• Regularly assess and document patients' progress, making necessary adjustments to the treatment plans as required.
• Encourage and motivate patients by setting attainable outcomes and celebrating milestones throughout their therapy journey.
• Educate patients on self-management strategies and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term health and wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure a high level of clinical competence.
• Must possess an active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.

• Strong knowledge base of current physical therapy techniques supported by clinical research.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient documentation and billing processes.
