Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Virginia Beach, where you'll work closely with a collaborative team of healthcare professionals. The work setting encourages a community atmosphere, allowing for shared practices and mutual learning among colleagues. Scheduled hours are typically Monday through Thursday from 3 PM to 7 PM and a 4-hour day shift on Fridays, providing a balance between work responsibilities and personal time.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments, screenings, and thorough evaluations of patients to identify their specific rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and patient goals, ensuring they are effective and aligned with rehabilitation standards.
• Utilize a variety of physical therapy modalities and techniques to treat a broad range of injuries and conditions, continually adapting approaches as necessary.
• Engage with patients and their families by providing education and emotional support, empowering them to take an active role in their own recovery.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation for each patient visit, ensuring compliance with regulatory and facility guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation staff to ensure cohesive care delivery and optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, ensuring that established goals are met in a timely manner.
• Supervise the work of physical therapy assistants, aides, and students, fostering a high-quality learning environment and ensuring consistent patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with a diverse patient population, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients. Qualifications

• Current and valid state-issued Physical Therapist license (required).
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or advanced degree (Master's or DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, specifically in physical therapy.
• Proficient in understanding and applying therapeutic techniques suitable for a diverse range of patients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
