Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement individualized physical therapy interventions designed to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and restore optimal muscle function, all while adhering closely to the physician's prescribed care plan.
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants, ensuring they understand and effectively follow established protocols to optimize patient care delivery.
• Perform thorough evaluations of each client's functional status using diagnostic tools and assessments to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
• Assess the patient's home environment collaboratively, recommending modifications that support independence and promote safe and effective rehabilitation.
• Deliver physical therapy services within our outpatient clinic, focusing on manual therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and the application of physical agents like traction and massage.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust orthotic devices, and provide recommendations to both clients and physicians regarding necessary changes.
• Contribute actively to the ongoing development, review, and updating of comprehensive care plans, ensuring alignment with patient progress and outcomes.
• Document clinical records meticulously, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, maintaining compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to communicate patient status and facilitate coordinated treatment approaches.
• Educate clients and their families on prescribed physical therapy programs and proper care and use of any physical therapy equipment.
• Remain accessible to physical therapy assistants to provide guidance and ensure the high-quality delivery of patient care.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned to contribute to the center's mission and values.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Flex Care Chiropractic Center, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and those managing chronic pain conditions. Your work will directly contribute to improving patients' quality of life and restoring their functional abilities.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a physical therapist, specifically in outpatient care settings.
• Current and valid physical therapy licensure in the state of Virginia.
• A valid CPR certification, as well as a current driver's license with appropriate automobile insurance.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence, quality of care, and ethical practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, capable of engaging both patients and families effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
