Work Environment

This position entails working onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility, where you will collaborate closely with a small, dynamic team, including another physical therapist and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for work-life balance while actively engaging with patients throughout the week. Our patients primarily have private health insurance, which facilitates access to a wide range of therapeutic services.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze each patient's goals and specific needs to provide tailored physical therapy treatments.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring each session is personalized and focused.
• Develop individualized care plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques to maximize patient outcomes.
• Implement cost-effective treatments designed to enhance mobility and functional independence while decreasing dependency on medications.
• Employ evidence-based practices to motivate and support patients during their rehabilitation journey.
• Monitor treatment effects, providing regular evaluations and updates to care plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all patient services and interactions to ensure compliance and facilitate continuity of care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to discuss patient progress and share insights for comprehensive care.
• Create customized fitness and wellness programs aligned with patients' unique needs and lifestyle goals.
• Encourage and educate patients on maintaining a healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center caters primarily to orthopedic patients, which include individuals recovering from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with a diverse range of patients, from athletes seeking to return to competitive form to seniors striving for enhanced mobility and independence. Your expertise will directly impact their rehabilitation experiences and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• Active and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no board actions or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated strong manual therapy skills.
• Proficient in developing and implementing effective exercise routines tailored to patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, such as WebPT; must be able to utilize these tools effectively for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist specifically in orthopedic outpatient care is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.
• Strong communication skills to build rapport with patients, their families, and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
