Key Responsibilities\n

• Evaluate clients' family dynamics through assessment tools, observation, and therapeutic conversation to identify dysfunctional patterns and areas for improvement.

• Provide compassionate counseling to individuals, couples, and families, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored specifically for each situation.

• Analyze clients’ perceptions of their family dynamics and collaboratively work towards resolution through talk therapy and strategic interventions.

• Identify and mobilize relevant community resources or referral services to assist families in overcoming barriers to mental health and wellness.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including clear goals and interventions aimed at enhancing the clients' relational health.

• Assist clients in processing grief and addressing a range of emotional and psychological challenges that affect family units.

• Offer expert testimony in legal cases when required, ensuring to prepare comprehensive reports that can support the legal needs of the client.

• Engage in ongoing professional development and adhere to best practices in therapy, continuous clinical supervision, and feedback mechanisms.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT with Meadville Behavioral Health, you will be working primarily with families and couples navigating a wide array of issues, from relationship distress and familial conflicts to individual mental health challenges. Our diverse clientele includes individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds and cultures, necessitating sensitivity and adaptability in your therapeutic approach. You will be expected to employ culturally competent interventions that reflect the unique experiences of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current LMFT license to practice in New Jersey.

• Completion of one year of supervised clinical hours as required by state regulations, bringing in postgraduate supervised experience.

• Demonstrated proficiency in providing individual, couples, and family therapy through evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Strong assessment and diagnostic skills for evaluating a wide range of mental health and relational issues.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
