As a Primary Mental Health Counselor, you will provide essential therapeutic services to clients grappling with substance abuse issues and co-occurring mental health disorders. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions with a strong focus on addressing relational dynamics and fostering positive communication.

• Effectively manage initial and ongoing assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans that guide the recovery process.

• Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure a collaborative approach to overall treatment strategies, focusing on holistic client outcomes.

• For qualified candidates, provide supervision and mentorship to Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage and Family Therapists, and/or Associate Professional Clinical Counselors.

• Document client progress and treatment interventions meticulously to track outcomes and ensure adherence to therapeutic goals.

The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals experiencing substance use challenges alongside a variety of mental health issues, such as mood disorders. A deep understanding of the complex interplay between substance use and psychological health is crucial in this role. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Must hold a current and valid license in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.

• At least three years of professional experience providing therapy services, particularly in substance abuse and co-occurring disorder cases.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to establish strong rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds and create a supportive therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of post-licensure experience, with a specialization in mood disorders preferred.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), is essential.

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to coordinate effectively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to optimize client care.

• A proven track record of successful client outcomes, especially with mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
