Key Responsibilities\n

Your role will encompass a diverse array of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Conducting thorough and trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patient histories and formulate appropriate treatment plans.

• Developing tailored individualized therapy plans that prioritize trauma recovery and employ evidence-based practices.

• Implementing specialized therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Providing both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and promote holistic healing.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive treatment approach for each patient.

• Delivering crisis intervention when necessary and supporting patients during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the resources available to them.

• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation that complies with all legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and a comprehensive understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and empathetic approach.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting focusing on trauma care will be given preference. Familiarity with specific modalities such as EMDR and TF-CBT, combined with experience in both individual and group therapy formats, is highly valued.
