Work Environment

The Rehabilitation Center is a supportive and dynamic setting where healthcare professionals work collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for our patients. As a Physical Therapist, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare specialists. Our typical work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule while contributing to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs, including assessing strength, mobility, and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate a range of therapeutic interventions, such as manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to enhance recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal recovery and functional outcomes.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families regarding home exercise programs, injury prevention strategies, and wellness maintenance.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team by participating in team meetings and care discussions to continuously refine and improve the treatment approach.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards while ensuring high-quality documentation for all patient interactions and outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will primarily serve residents in a skilled nursing facility setting, focusing on geriatric patients who require rehabilitation following surgeries, injuries, or chronic health conditions. Our goal is to restore function, decrease pain, and improve overall mobility and independence, thereby enhancing the quality of life for each resident.

Qualifications

• Earned a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Possess and maintain an active Florida state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Demonstrated understanding of physical therapy principles and practices, particularly in geriatric care.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a very high degree of empathy for patients.
• Ability to work independently as well as effectively participate in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience working in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting is strongly preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is advantageous.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and ongoing professional education in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
