Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite within a home care environment, giving you the unique opportunity to work closely with patients in their homes. You will collaborate with a highly skilled healthcare team, enhancing patient outcomes through multidisciplinary approaches. Your schedule will typically range from Monday to Friday, with flexible options for working hours, such as 8 AM to 4 PM, 9 AM to 5 PM, or four 10-hour shifts. This flexibility allows you to maintain a work-life balance while effectively caring for your patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' movement disorders and mobility challenges, utilizing standardized tests and personal evaluations.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans addressing individual patient needs, incorporating evidence-based practices.
• Continuously monitor patient progress and adjust therapy programs as necessary to optimize outcomes and promote recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive treatment strategy that encompasses all aspects of a patient's rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and their families on the recovery process, rehabilitation techniques, and home exercises, ensuring they are empowered in their healing journey.
• Maintain accurate and updated patient records, documenting treatment timelines, progress notes, and response to therapies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients come from various backgrounds and age groups, primarily focusing on those recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions affecting their hand and upper extremity function. You will work with individuals who require tailored rehabilitation strategies to support their specific recovery goals, fostering meaningful connections and encouraging their overall physical health.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Master's Degree is strongly preferred.
• Current Florida Physical Therapy License or eligibility to obtain one before starting.
• Demonstrated ability to assess, design, and manage individualized therapy programs effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing physical therapy services, particularly in an outpatient or home health setting, is preferred.
• Experience with specialized rehabilitation techniques for hand injuries and orthopedic conditions is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
