Key Responsibilities\n

• Directly support a diverse caseload of students experiencing major mental illness or severe emotional disorders, conducting assessments, and facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions.

• Utilize evidence-based screening tools and methods to conduct brief, developmentally appropriate assessments for students, arranging for more comprehensive evaluations when necessary.

• Create and implement integrated care plans tailored to individual student needs, coordinating with families and educational staff to ensure continuity of care.

• Engage in crisis intervention, providing immediate support and therapeutic solutions to students in distress.
\n
• Document all interactions and care details thoroughly, ensuring timely submission of reports in compliance with organizational standards and relevant regulations.

• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and committees aimed at enhancing service delivery and quality improvement initiatives.

• Provide education to students, families, and faculty regarding mental health awareness, coping strategies, and available resources.

This role primarily focuses on students from diverse backgrounds attending schools in Laredo, Texas. Qualifications\n

• A valid and current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification in Texas.

• A bachelor’s degree in social work or related field; a Master's degree is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Healing Thoughts Counseling offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 85,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
