Work Environment

This position is fully onsite, allowing Physical Therapists to engage directly with patients in their homes, providing personalized care tailored to individual needs. The work schedule consists of Monday to Friday, with rotating weekend shifts at the hospital as needed. This dynamic environment fosters collaboration among multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nursing staff, and other therapists, to ensure cohesive and effective treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, establishing treatment plans based on orthopedic physician orders and individual patient needs.
• Set clear goals and therapeutic interventions tailored to enhance patients' functional abilities and quality of life.
• Document all patient interactions, evaluations, and treatment plans meticulously, utilizing professional terminology to support the necessity for skilled therapy within required timelines.
• Oversee the daily work of Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and other support personnel, ensuring effective implementation of care plans and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
• Engage with a diverse set of professionals—including case managers, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists—to refine and assess intervention strategies.
• Provide constructive feedback to the Director regarding departmental operations, productivity standards, and opportunities for professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients typically include individuals facing a variety of challenges due to injuries, chronic pain, or post-operative recovery. The Physical Therapist will work closely with patients across different age groups, formulating personalized rehabilitation strategies that reflect their unique health status and recovery goals. Essential to this role is the understanding of the complexities involved in physical rehabilitation and how it effectively contributes to improving patient independence and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the State of Virginia.
• At least one year of experience in a Physical Therapy setting, ideally with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear interaction with patients and healthcare team members.
• Proficiency in technology, including electronic health records and word processing applications.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 50,000 to 75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
