Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting virtual therapy sessions through secure online platforms, adapting approaches to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Establishing a warm and trusting therapeutic relationship, encouraging clients to openly share their thoughts and feelings.

• Collaborating with clients to set achievable therapeutic goals and guiding them through the process of attaining them.

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and client input.

• Utilizing evidence-based methodologies to address a variety of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and trauma.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will encompass a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families navigating various mental health challenges. As a respected member of our community health clinic, you will focus on providing culturally competent and personalized care, understanding the unique backgrounds and experiences of your clients to foster effective therapy outcomes.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

• A current, valid license to practice independently in Virginia as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
\n
• Proven experience in conducting therapy and developing treatment plans for a variety of mental health conditions.

• Exceptional communication skills, particularly in virtual therapy settings, with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.

• Familiarity with online therapy tools and platforms, ensuring a smooth and secure client experience.

Preferred Experience\n

While not strictly necessary, candidates with additional certifications, training in trauma-informed care, or credentials in specialized therapeutic approaches (such as EMDR or CBT) will be given preference. A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting is required, ideally with a background in community health or family therapy contexts.
