Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews, documenting cases meticulously from the initial consultation through to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health using established assessment tools, providing clear ratings and insights to inform diagnosis and treatment planning.

• Design and implement comprehensive intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups, based on clinical best practices.

• Lead engaging individual and group therapy sessions via telehealth, creating a supportive environment conducive to sharing and healing.

• Monitor client progress regularly through scheduled follow-ups and reassessments, adapting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving client needs.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, social workers, and nursing staff to coordinate care and share critical client information for holistic treatment.

• Communicate effectively with psychiatrists concerning any necessary medication adjustments for clients involved in hospitalization or inpatient care.

• Proactively identify and prevent maladaptive behaviors that may obstruct the recovery journey, guiding clients toward healthier coping mechanisms.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the challenges related to clients' mental health conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client focus includes individuals of diverse backgrounds seeking assistance with various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will guide clients through their therapeutic processes while respecting their unique experiences and cultural narratives, tailoring interventions that resonate with their personal histories and aspirations.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.

• Successful completion and passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated prior experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing relevant case experience and therapeutic skill.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, to ensure efficient and accurate patient documentation.

• Familiarity with common co-occurring conditions including physical health issues and addiction disorders that may affect mental health treatment.

• Knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and current trends in the mental health field.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear articulation of thoughts and instructions.

• A natural aptitude for interpersonal interactions, with a compassionate approach toward clients and their relatives.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience managing a caseload that encompasses individual, couple, and group therapy modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 – $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
