Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments through video consultations to evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health.

• Document detailed case information from initial consultations to ensure continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
\n
• Collaborate with clients to develop effective and personalized intervention and recovery plans suitable for individuals, couples, and families.
\n
• Facilitate dynamic individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities based on client needs.
\n
• Monitor clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
\n
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to enhance holistic care.

• Provide support to clients and their families in identifying and overcoming behaviors that may hinder recovery.

• Manage referrals effectively by maintaining communication with healthcare providers involved in clients' treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A passing score on the National Counseling Exam (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients and other healthcare professionals.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a genuine empathetic nature to foster connections with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a licensed mental health counselor in a clinical or therapeutic setting.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client information effectively.

• Experience in treating clients with a variety of mental health disorders, addiction issues, and co-occurring physical conditions.

• A solid understanding of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
