Key Responsibilities\n

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that consider each child's developmental stage and family dynamics, ensuring a personalized approach to therapy.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a range of mental health issues, utilizing modalities pertinent to each individual’s needs.

• Conduct family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with tools to foster a nurturing and supportive environment for their children.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other health professionals to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.

• Offer crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents, ensuring immediate and effective action is taken.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health challenges, available treatment options, and relevant community resources, empowering them with knowledge and support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation to comply with legal and ethical standards while ensuring organized record-keeping.

• Actively engage in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

• Stay current with the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry, integrating emerging best practices into your therapeutic approach.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the mental and emotional needs of children and adolescents.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in counseling, social work, clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
\n
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or equivalent in California. Please note that applicants with an associate license cannot be accepted at this time.

• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders, as well as evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Experience in delivering individual and family therapy to young people.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, embodying a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications pertinent to mental health documentation.

• Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

• Prior experience working with children and adolescents in outpatient community health settings is highly desirable.
