Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, crisis interventions, and ongoing assessments to determine client needs and appropriate treatment plans.

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions within designated telehealth platforms, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for clients.

• Document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans meticulously, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining confidentiality.

• Maintain close communication with the Department of Corrections to coordinate patient access and housing arrangements, enhancing the treatment continuum within correctional settings.

• Lead therapeutic group sessions focusing on mental health issues, substance use, and behavioral challenges, adapting content to meet the evolving needs of group members.

• Participate in weekly clinical supervision sessions, engaging with a Clinical Supervisor to discuss cases, share insights, and enhance practice skills.
\n
• Engage in interdisciplinary rounds with other clinical team members, contributing to holistic treatment planning and care strategies.
\n
• Facilitate case conferences and collaborate in treatment planning, ensuring a comprehensive approach to client care.
\n
• May administer psychological assessments as needed, working to identify specific client challenges and strengths.
\n
• Oversee and mentor social work interns or volunteers, providing training and guidance in mental health practice.
\n
• Fulfill additional responsibilities as designated by supervisory staff, contributing to the team's overall effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on providing mental health services to individuals experiencing a range of challenges, including severe mental illness and substance use disorders, particularly within correctional health settings. You will engage with clients who require supportive interventions and therapeutic guidance to navigate their unique circumstances effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington.

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree such as a Master's or Doctorate in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of five years of full-time, paid, professional experience in providing direct client care within a behavioral health setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with individuals exhibiting behavioral problems, substance abuse histories, or severe mental health issues is highly preferred.
