Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth, trauma-informed mental health assessments to thoroughly evaluate patients’ trauma histories and determine appropriate treatment strategies.

• Design and implement customized treatment plans aimed at recovery and resilience-building for each client.
\n
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including specialized techniques like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to suit individual client needs.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to empower patients in processing their trauma and developing essential coping strategies.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care and support for clients.
\n
• Provide timely crisis intervention, offering immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available community resources, enhancing their understanding of the recovery process.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation according to legal and ethical standards, ensuring all client interactions are recorded appropriately.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and continuing education initiatives focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay updated on emerging research and best practices within the field of trauma therapy to enhance your professional knowledge and skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve individuals affected by diverse trauma backgrounds, including those struggling with PTSD and related disorders. Your role will be critical in helping these clients understand and navigate their challenging experiences, ultimately guiding them towards healing and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
