Blaze Health is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Mental Health Therapist to join our outpatient psychiatry team in Savannah, Georgia. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to provide remote mental health care while making a tangible impact on the lives of individuals from diverse backgrounds. We are looking for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to deliver culturally competent therapeutic services to our patients.

This remote position allows you to thrive in a flexible work environment, with core hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. While the job allows for some flexibility to accommodate patient needs, you will primarily engage with clients through virtual platforms. Blaze Health's outpatient office in Savannah serves as the home base, offering a cohesive team culture and collaborative support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that appreciate each patient's unique cultural and personal backgrounds, leading to tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, that resonate with individual patient experiences.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, enabling clients to explore their mental health concerns in a supportive and safe setting.

• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, psychologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.

• Deliver immediate crisis intervention and support in mental health emergencies, utilizing de-escalation techniques and safety planning.

• Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and community resources, fostering empowerment and informed choices.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with HIPAA and ethical guidelines, employing electronic health record (EHR) platforms effectively.

• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and cultural competency training to enhance collective knowledge and support mechanisms.

• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy, including cultural considerations critical to serving diverse populations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of your practice will include individuals from various cultural backgrounds, with particular attention to ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant communities. You will have the privilege of working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, among other mental health concerns.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• A profound understanding of mental health disorders, coupled with the ability to apply evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Experience in delivering individual and group therapy using culturally responsive methodologies.

• Excellent crisis intervention skills and a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trusting relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and proficiency in standard computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
