Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health evaluations that delve into patients' trauma histories to effectively identify appropriate treatment strategies.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient progress.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions focused on processing trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and supporting clients on their paths to recovery.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic, integrated treatment for our clients.

At Queer Self Care Mental Therapy Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals who have experienced varying forms of trauma. Our specific focus is on individuals dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state license as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or psychologist.

• While not mandatory, a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is strongly preferred.

• A thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed care practices.

• Extensive experience in providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach.

• Ability to remain composed and supportive during high-stress situations.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and competent in using various computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
