As a mental health counselor, you will engage with clients via telehealth platforms, allowing you to provide services from any location while ensuring accessibility for our clients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' mental health status and their challenges, utilizing standardized tools and interviews.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their goals and address their specific mental health issues.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, using a variety of modalities, including cognitive-behavioral techniques, to help clients navigate anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and more.

• Provide appropriate referrals to other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists or specialty clinics, when necessary for comprehensive treatment.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress within the EHR system, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and confidentiality regulations.

• Engage in continuous professional development, staying abreast of the latest mental health trends, interventions, and best practices.

• Participate in case consultations and multidisciplinary team meetings to enhance collaborative care and optimize treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including adolescents, adults, and families experiencing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and eating disorders. Our clients come from various cultural backgrounds, and your ability to practice with cultural sensitivity will enhance the therapeutic alliance and improve engagement and outcomes in treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.

• A minimum of four years of relevant professional experience in mental health counseling.
\n
• Sound understanding of different mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven ability to practice individual and group therapies with confidentiality and cultural competence.

• Exceptional crisis intervention skills, showcasing the ability to manage clients effectively during challenging situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
