Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual therapy and group sessions using video conferencing tools, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for sharing and healing.
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and confidential client records in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques to achieve optimal client outcomes.
• Regularly engage in supervision and peer consultation to enhance clinical skills and maintain licensure requirements.
• Empower clients to set and attain personal mental health goals, providing ongoing support and resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client base will be diverse, encompassing individuals with varying mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will work closely with clients from different backgrounds and age groups, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet their unique needs and cultural contexts. The flexibility of telehealth allows you to reach clients who may have otherwise faced barriers to accessing mental health services.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• An active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license in the state of New York.
• A solid understanding of mental health disorders and the ability to apply evidence-based therapies effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and collaborate with colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of direct clinical experience in a mental health counseling role.
• Experience working with telehealth platforms and proficiency in technology to facilitate remote therapy sessions.
• Prior experience with a diverse population, demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity in therapeutic practices.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $95,000, reflective of your experience and qualifications.
