Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting thorough preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their mental health history and presenting issues from the initial consultation through the treatment process.

• Providing comprehensive evaluations focusing on mental, behavioral, and emotional health to inform treatment strategies.
\n
• Developing individualized intervention and recovery plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitating therapy sessions in both individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to promote healing and growth.
\n
• Regularly monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal mental health outcomes.
\n
• Collaborating effectively with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, doctors, and social workers, to devise integrated intervention plans that support clients’ holistic well-being.

• Providing follow-up support for clients transitioning from inpatient care and maintaining communications with relevant healthcare providers.
\n
• Identifying potential obstacles to recovery and implementing preventative strategies to aid clients in overcoming challenges.

• Supporting family members and primary caregivers in managing and understanding mental health challenges for better support systems around clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will encompass working with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and emotional distress. Our patient population may include young adults, families, and individuals at different life stages seeking guidance and support. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving their experiences and outcomes through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor or therapist.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, and adherence to best practices in mental health care.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of various physical and emotional health conditions and experience in addressing addiction disorders.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with excellent interpersonal talents and a genuine, compassionate demeanor.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within a telehealth environment and adapting clinical practices to virtual delivery methods.

• Previous involvement in collaborative multidisciplinary care teams and direct experience in crisis intervention.

• Additional training or certification in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
