Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each client’s unique trauma history and identify tailored treatment approaches.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, incorporating evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing specialized techniques to help clients process their trauma and develop effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and integrated care plans for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.

• Educate clients and their families about the psychological impacts of trauma and the resources available to support their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Total Recovery Mind Wellness Clinic, you will work with a diverse population of clients who have experienced varying degrees of trauma. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Proven ability to apply trauma-focused therapeutic interventions effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and associated computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
