Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing flexibility while ensuring that you are part of a dynamic team dedicated to improving the lives of individuals in the school system. You will be working closely with educational professionals and mental health practitioners to provide seamless care for students. While the position is remote, you may occasionally attend school meetings or collaborate with staff in person to ensure integrated support services.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Act as a liaison between families, schools, and outpatient providers, enabling a collaborative approach to mental health care.

• Engage with insurance companies for pre-certifications and manage utilization review processes to ensure that students receive the necessary care.

• Participate actively in discharge planning and aftercare processes, making sure that transitional care is effective and supportive for each student.
\n
• Provide therapeutic meal support, modeling healthy relationships with food, which is integral for some students' social-emotional development.

• Deliver empathetic, affirming care tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, respecting their intersecting identities and life experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The main focus of this role is to support students within the school environment, including children and adolescents dealing with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. You will work closely with both students and their families to develop individualized plans that promote resilience, self-esteem, and social-emotional skills, ultimately fostering a healthy learning environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Florida is mandatory.

• Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or clinical setting is preferable.

• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills are essential for effectively identifying and addressing student needs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, families, and faculty.

Compensation and Benefits\n
