Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work while engaging directly with a school-based population. While daily tasks will usually be performed in a home office, you might be required to adapt to school requirements, including virtual meetings and possibly attending school events.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand client needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each individual.

• Facilitate individual, group, and family counseling sessions, addressing various mental health issues including anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.

• Monitor and evaluate client progress toward established treatment goals, adjusting plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with teachers, school counselors, and other mental health professionals to ensure a wraparound service for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention services, using evidence-based techniques to support clients facing acute challenges or emergencies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes in compliance with organizational policies and regulations.

• Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in mental health to continually enhance service quality and effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students and their families grappling with a range of mental health issues, including those related to academic pressures, family dynamics, social challenges, and personal crises. The ability to build rapport with this demographic is crucial for fostering trust and encouraging open communication during the counseling process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is mandatory.

• Current and valid state licensure as a clinical social worker (LCSW) is required.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and their families.

• Experience working in a school or community mental health setting is preferred.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with a commitment to confidentiality and ethical standards.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years’ experience in a clinical setting, ideally with school-aged children and adolescents.

• Knowledge of trauma-informed care practices, CBT, or similar therapeutic modalities will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
