Full-Time Mental Health Therapist: W-2 LCSW, LSW, LPC, LMFT

Therapy Story is seeking a thoughtful, collaborative mental health therapist to join our growing group practice in Bloomfield, New Jersey. We are looking for clinicians who want the autonomy and earning potential of private practice while also valuing the support, community, referrals, professional development, and infrastructure of an established group practice. This is a full-time W-2 position with a hybrid schedule and a compensation structure designed to provide financial support while you establish your caseload, with increased earning potential as your caseload grows. Compensation & Earning Potential $50–$125 per completed clinical session , based on licensure, clinical experience, specialty, and type of service provided. Full-time clinicians typically maintain approximately 20–25 client sessions per week , allowing compensation to grow alongside caseload. New full-time clinicians also receive guaranteed compensation during an initial caseload-building period . We recognize that developing a sustainable caseload takes time, and this structure is designed to provide greater financial stability while you become established at Therapy Story. What Full-Time Practice Looks Like Our full-time clinicians typically: Maintain approximately 20–25 client sessions per week Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy based on their areas of expertise Participate in clinical consultation and professional development Build relationships with referral sources and community partners Participate in networking, outreach, and practice-development opportunities Have opportunities to contribute to workshops, groups, educational content, and community presentations Collaborate with our clinical and administrative team to support excellent client care and continued practice growth We value clinicians who want to develop not only a sustainable caseload, but also their clinical expertise, professional identity, and presence within the community. Qualifications Required: Active New Jersey licensure as an LCSW, LSW, LPC, or LMFT Ability to maintain active NJ licensure throughout employment Active professional liability insurance Experience providing telehealth services and engaging clients remotely Interest in working collaboratively within a group-practice environment Additional licensure in New York and/or Pennsylvania is welcomed but not required. We are particularly interested in clinicians with experience or advanced training in: EMDR and trauma-focused treatment Perinatal and maternal mental health Couples therapy, including EFT and Gottman-informed approaches OCD and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) Benefits & Practice Support Therapy Story is designed to give clinicians many of the benefits of private practice without having to build and manage a practice entirely on their own.
