Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to comprehensively evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine suitable treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental health improvement.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to help patients process traumatic experiences and equip them with effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure integrated and continuous care for patients.

• Provide crisis intervention and support services during emergencies related to trauma.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and effective coping strategies, enhancing their understanding of available resources.

• Maintain detailed and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Banyan Recovery & Treatment Centers, you will work primarily with individuals suffering from trauma and related mental health disorders. Our patient population includes children, adolescents, adults, and families, each presenting unique challenges and needs. You will have the opportunity to work with couples as well, with training provided for those willing to expand their practice.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LPC license in the state of Texas.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy and non-judgment.

• Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two or more years of post-licensure experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary of up to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise. In addition to guaranteed pay, we provide annual increases and bonus opportunities.
