The Aman Lee Behavioral Healthcare Unit is seeking a committed and empathetic Senior Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative and supportive team in a full-time remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to effectively evaluate clients' needs and establish personalized treatment plans that support their recovery journey.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, employing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy tailored to individual needs.
• Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic support groups addressing relevant mental health and substance abuse challenges, fostering a sense of community and support among participants.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated care, discussing case details during weekly team meetings.
• Offer 24/7 crisis intervention services as needed, ensuring clients have immediate support during critical moments.
• Educate patients on mental health conditions, therapeutic options, and resources available within the community to encourage self-advocacy.
• Ensure all client documentation is maintained accurately and confidentially, adhering to legal and ethical standards using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Participate actively in ongoing professional development training, including workshops and seminars to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population of clients, including adults experiencing a range of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders. The detox center environment emphasizes the importance of addressing both psychological and substance-related aspects of well-being, contributing to a comprehensive support system aimed at long-term recovery.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• State licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• Demonstrated expertise in mental health assessment and treatment, with a strong grasp of evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms for patient management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of experience in mental health counseling, ideally within a detox or addiction treatment setting.
• Experience facilitating group therapy and psychoeducational sessions, demonstrating the ability to engage and connect with various client groups.
• Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices.

Compensation and Benefits
